Story

kawlet creates operational value and converts it into equity and governance. Whether launching a project from scratch, accelerating a growing venture, or assuming an executive mandate, the approach is always the same: contribute through action, join the cap table, take a board seat.

kawlet also operates an editorial platform dedicated to emerging technologies: NFTs, blockchain, Web3, artificial intelligence, SEO/GEO and e-commerce. Through in-depth articles and practical guides, we share the expertise that drives our investment decisions.

Our conviction: operational expertise, when invested at the right stage, generates more lasting value than capital alone.

What we do

Equity & creation : we design, build and launch ventures from the ground up — product, technology, acquisition, financial oversight — in exchange for equity and a board seat.

Executive mandates : we assume operational leadership roles within existing structures: transformation, transition management, strategic repositioning.

Consulting & audits : we support SMEs and mid-market companies with transformation audits, strategic diagnostics and change management.

Editorial : a knowledge platform covering innovation and emerging technologies. In-depth articles and practical guides that reflect the expertise behind our investment decisions.

Executive mandate (2026): operational and financial restructuring of a D2C hardware brand (connected tracker) under a tight cash constraint. Rebuilt the leadership (COO, CTO, hardware consultant) and cleared technical debt — re-platformed the stack (Shopify, Klaviyo, Gorgias), moved off MongoDB to OVH (~€20k → ~€2k/yr). Renegotiated supplier costs (EMS, BOM) and logistics; rebuilt the financials: analytical P&L, multi-year business plan, cash-flow plan and financing bridge.

HOW INNOVATION WORKS

The chief way in which innovation changes our lives is by enabling people to work for each other. As I have argued before, the main theme of human history is that we become steadily more specialized in what we produce, and steadily more diversified in what we consume: we move away from precarious self-sufficiency to safer mutual interdependence. By concentrating on serving other people's needs for forty hours a week – which we call a job – you can spend the other seventy-two hours (not counting fifty-six hours in bed) drawing upon the services provided to you by other people. Innovation has made it possible to work for a fraction of a second so as to be able to afford to turn on an electric lamp for an hour, providing the quantity of light that would have required a whole day's work if you had to make it yourself by collecting and refining sesame oil or lamb fat to burn in a simple lamp, as much of humanity did in the not so distant past. Most innovation is a gradual process. […]
